I love my cougars!

Everyone knows I love a good rivalry, especially when it involves my cougars and the Utes. Everyone also knows that I love winning. I love, love, LOVE a good football game and comeback. I love going to football games in LaVell Edwards Stadium. I love busting out my cougar blue in spirit of game day. I love when Hall avoids getting sacked and finds Collie all alone for a 49-yard pass. I love when Harvey Unga runs 11 yards for a touchdown with 38 seconds left. I LOVE BEATING UTAH!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE beating Utah for the second consecutive year. And I love that BYU basketball beat Louisville and played one hell of a game against North Carolina. This year isn't looking so bad for my cougars. I love that my friends and I (although in the mountains at a cabin) cheered the BYU fight song in celebration of the victory. Thank you BYU for winning and teaching a certain friend of mine to never betray their alma mater. Wear BLUE!!!!!!!!!! At least it is something to be proud of :)

"Will you accept this rose?"

Yesterday was the final episode of a very uplifting, life-changing, some even call it inspirational, show. The Bachelor. My friends and I have enjoyed our consecutive Monday night dates with Brad. Truthfully I am quite sad that it is over. BUT ladies, he is still on the market!! In celebration of the big event, myself and roommates decided to have a little party and surprise the ladies with their very own bachelors. This was very much an enchanting evening filled with surprises and passion. Our bachelors came in their GQ-esque suits looking very sharp. Let's meet our bachelors:

1. Ryan
This sharp looking bachelor is quite the ladies man. Girls flock around him because of his endearing personality, and smarts. Definitely a catch!

2. Frank
This handsome bachelor lures the ladies with his quick wit and hot bod. He had us laughing the entire evening!

3. Danny
Bachelor number three is Mr. GQ himself. I mean look at that suit? Wouldn't you stick around for that?

4. Josh
This fine bachelor melts a girls heart with his kindness and genuineness. If only he wasn't my home teacher!

5. Roger
Check out that smile. Need I say more?!

6. Dustin
This bachelor is ready to take you out on his yacht and will wine and dine you the entire evening. But don't let the preppy attire fool you. This bachelor has a humble side as well. You will find him tutoring at-risk teens on Thursday evenings :)

7. Jason
Our final bachelor is a little mysterious, but ladies you want to get to know him!

The evening entailed slow dancing, chocolate covered strawberries, martinelli's, and fantasy cards...what, what! Enjoy the photo shoot:

All I Want for Christmas

I meant to include this with my previous post. I hope my current roommates are prepared for a little Mariah on REPEAT this Christmas season! Check out Mel and I's beautiful rendition of, "All I Want for Christmas"...definitely American Idol caliber.

Confession

I recognize it is only November, and we haven't had Thanksgiving yet...but I can't stop listening to Christmas music! I get to go home in a month! I love Christmas music. I even joined my church choir today so that I could sing Christmas songs. Some of my favorites include: Carpenters Christmas, Amy Grant, Mr. Frank Sinatra, Mormon Tabernacle Choir, Mariah Carey ("All I want for Christmas!"), and George Winston's December album. I was told today that one of my friends really digs Hanson Christmas. Hmmmm, I don't know about that one. But I am curious to hear what some of your favorite Christmas tunes are! I need more ideas to add to my Christmas collection.

Fall Fun!

This last week I have kept busy participating in some great fall activities! Last Saturday Lisa and I took a trip up to Great Falls, VA. It had been raining all week, and finally the sun came out on Saturday. It was a beautiful drive. The leaves were vibrant reds, yellows, oranges, and greens. It is amazing to me how a place so beautiful is right outside the district. We did some hiking and exploring around the park. We both agreed it would be a romantic spot to take a special someone :) As much as I love you Lisa...you are not the one!

Next fall activity involved a potluck dinner, with delicious soup cooked in the pumpkin, and delicious holiday treats. My roommates and I were in charge of desserts, so we decided to be festive and make candy corn sugar cookies, and spiderweb cupcakes. Lisa gets all the credit for creativity. But wait...the night got even better! We ventured outside for a little pumpkin bowling action, and apple bobbing. It was my first attempt at apple bobbing. I wasn't as successful as I hoped, but in the end, triumph! Once you know the tricks, you are sure to get an apple!

Next up was the annual high heel drag race in Dupont Circle. And quite the experience it was! Each year more than a 100 drag queens dress up and parade around, and near the end participate in the high heel race. Hilarious! My favorite was Princess Diana and The Fanta Girls. And we had to stop Miss Utah for a picture. Interesting night...one of those things I can check off my list! Princess Diana with her bodyguards Finally, what better place to attend a "World Politicians Party" than in DC. My outfit was suppose to represent Jackie O. Kennedy, and most people got it...minus my one guy friend who asked if I was Nancy Reagan. I figured the glasses, pearls, and ratted hair looked more Jackie O. style. The halloween fun ended by watching Disturbia. Poor Sarah probably has marks on her wrists as I clung to her throughout the entire movie! I had to drive home by myself at 1am! Happy Halloween!
