Melissa showed me this and I thought it was pretty funny. Obviously this happens on both sides of the political spectrum. Thank you Jon for providing me with a little entertainment.

beach withdrawal
Over Labor Day weekend, I went to Delaware with a couple of friends, Kyle and Peter. We drove to Hockessin, Delaware for the weekend, and stayed with Kyle's aunt and uncle. It was a nice, relaxing weekend. We spent Saturday playing basketball, swimming in their pool, and listening to the BYU football game on the radio. I loved not having to do anything this weekend. I slept in the basement, in a room with no windows, and a california king bed. It was wonderful. So wonderful that the first morning I rolled out of bed at 9:45a.m. to find Kyle and Peter on the couch watching t.v. They proceeded to tell me they had been up since 7:30a.m. They had to deal with the sun and lots of windows, and I slept like a baby! Monday morning we drove to Rehoboth Beach. BUT...First, we stopped at the outlets, which turned out to be a successful stop. It can be a different experience shopping with boys. They were good sports, and allowed me to spend some time in my two favorite stores, banana and jcrew. The best part was when I called Melissa to find out Sarah, Melissa and Chelsea were all in the dressing room at the same store! Of course we had to show each other our potential purchases, so we all piled in to one dressing room. After a while, I received a text from the boys, wondering if I needed a hand with anything. Oops...I guess I lost track of time! Anyway, we had fun at the outlets, then finally went to the beach for a few hours. The only time I thought to take pictures was the day I didn't shower, and had been in the sun all day.

Weekend in Annapolis!
There once was a girl named Lisa. Lisa had a birthday in July, but decided to vacation all summer long. Lisa's friends tried to find a time close to her birthday, for a surprise getaway weekend celebration. A few weeks after the big day, Lisa's friends kidnapped her and took her to the lovely town of Annapolis, MD. Lisa was told to pack an overnight bag, and get in the car. Upon arriving to Annapolis, the girls blindfolded Lisa, and led her to the hotel room.

Next the girls went out on the town, for some yummy seafood in their sailor hats. Annapolis is the home to the United States Naval Academy. The girls attracted a lot of attention in their sailor hats, especially captain Lisa.
Here they are at dinner...

And here they are with the only sailor they could find. Sailors must have a curfew.
After a night out on the town, the girls headed back to the hotel for food, movies, nails, and facials. The ultimate girl's weekend, for sure.

These three lovely ladies were very excited about their freshly painted nails and toes!
The next morning, the crew went to brunch and spent the day shopping. What an excellent weekend for a group of friends to spend time together and celebrate someone they absolutely love and adore! Happy Birthday to Lisa!
The End.

I HEART the OLYMPICS!!

I am at work right now, and can't focus. All I can think about are the Olympics. My day in front of the tube started yesterday watching Jake Gibb and Rosie take on the Netherlands in beach volleyball. I maybe did some stalking online and came across his blog I think it is great that he finds time to blog while in Beijing! Next, came the swimming and gymnastic events...two of my favorites. I have a renewed love for Michael Phelps and Jason Lezak. The mens 400-meter freestyle relay was an event you didn't want to miss. I was on the phone with my fam when I heard screaming coming from all levels of the house. And a comeback it was. The USA mens team took it to France, after France attempted to talk trash earlier in the week. I get the chills when they play the National Anthem during the medal ceremony. My plans for tonight: olympics.

Behind the Bell
You all remember the hit television show, "Saved by the Bell". I recently read that Dustin Diamond (the infamous Samuel, "Screech" Powers) is writing a book entitled, "Behind the Bell." Screech will expose what really happened off the set with the SBTB crew-- Zack Morris, A.C. Slater, Kelly Kapowski, Lisa Turtle, Jesse Mrytle Spano, and Mr. Richard Belding. I am not going to lie...I am quite intrigued by this book, and may just have to check it out. After all, I did spend a good chunk of my teenage years, watching my Bayside friends.
