Weekend in Annapolis!
There once was a girl named Lisa. Lisa had a birthday in July, but decided to vacation all summer long. Lisa's friends tried to find a time close to her birthday, for a surprise getaway weekend celebration. A few weeks after the big day, Lisa's friends kidnapped her and took her to the lovely town of Annapolis, MD. Lisa was told to pack an overnight bag, and get in the car. Upon arriving to Annapolis, the girls blindfolded Lisa, and led her to the hotel room.
Next the girls went out on the town, for some yummy seafood in their sailor hats. Annapolis is the home to the United States Naval Academy. The girls attracted a lot of attention in their sailor hats, especially captain Lisa.
Here they are at dinner...
And here they are with the only sailor they could find. Sailors must have a curfew.
After a night out on the town, the girls headed back to the hotel for food, movies, nails, and facials. The ultimate girl's weekend, for sure.
These three lovely ladies were very excited about their freshly painted nails and toes!
The next morning, the crew went to brunch and spent the day shopping. What an excellent weekend for a group of friends to spend time together and celebrate someone they absolutely love and adore! Happy Birthday to Lisa!
The End.

I HEART the OLYMPICS!!
I am at work right now, and can't focus. All I can think about are the Olympics. My day in front of the tube started yesterday watching Jake Gibb and Rosie take on the Netherlands in beach volleyball. I maybe did some stalking online and came across his blog I think it is great that he finds time to blog while in Beijing! Next, came the swimming and gymnastic events...two of my favorites. I have a renewed love for Michael Phelps and Jason Lezak. The mens 400-meter freestyle relay was an event you didn't want to miss. I was on the phone with my fam when I heard screaming coming from all levels of the house. And a comeback it was. The USA mens team took it to France, after France attempted to talk trash earlier in the week. I get the chills when they play the National Anthem during the medal ceremony. My plans for tonight: olympics.

Behind the Bell
You all remember the hit television show, "Saved by the Bell". I recently read that Dustin Diamond (the infamous Samuel, "Screech" Powers) is writing a book entitled, "Behind the Bell." Screech will expose what really happened off the set with the SBTB crew-- Zack Morris, A.C. Slater, Kelly Kapowski, Lisa Turtle, Jesse Mrytle Spano, and Mr. Richard Belding. I am not going to lie...I am quite intrigued by this book, and may just have to check it out. After all, I did spend a good chunk of my teenage years, watching my Bayside friends.

Take Me Home Tuesday
There are just some days when you want to be with your family. Today is one of them for me. I haven't fully adapted to a full time work schedule, and my DC life. I definitely could have used more time in Washington state. Why can't the USA be more like Europe, where vacation days are handed out like candy. Alright, maybe that is taking it to the extreme. But seriously, you can read here that Americans have the shortest vacation in the developed world. Perhaps, I should move to Germany or Sweden. Here are some more pictures from my visit home.

"American Pie"
This lyrics to this song were written by my uncle and sang to my grandma at our family reunion:
A long, long, Time Ago,
After college and the great world war
grandpa bob was 25
And very desperate for a wife
He crashed the high school prom one night
And bumped into the jr. queeeen
Soon a hot romance ensued
Hazel's dad, Clint, did approve
With grandpa on her doorstep
Pinky didn't have his pep
And so their married life he won
A honeymoon past Alberton
Happy Years Begun and Made
The Day the Jitterbug played
Chorus:
So bye, bye good ole' Hamilton high
Left Montana, bound for Ritzville,
O man was it dry
Then Kennewick dust storms
and Hazel would cry
Singing, this will be the place til we die?????
This is where we'll live till we die
Did they write the book of love
Hazel Evans and grandpa up above
Yes the bible tells you soooooooo
And do you believe in the Benton P.U.D
The Buntin Gym, and the A&W
If your daddy tells you sooooooo
The comet was a sweet, sweet, ride
to Disneyland in 65
we peed along the roadside,
slept in motel dives
I was a "wildman" 10 year old
in the backseat
cryin to stop for a pepsi treat
in vegas we booked the stardust suite
the day the jitterbug played
And now we're singing...
Chorus
25 grandkids, lots of heck
golf cart terror, no broken necks
screamin..."Hey Dreamboat, not you shipwreck!"
off to serve on a mission true
then, dating babes down at BYU
Temple marriage we did persuuuuuue!
Grandma knows we're a lovin' bunch
27 greats, it's not a hunch
more to come before tomorrows lunch
the day the jitterbug played
Soooooo....
Bye, bye good ole' Hamilton High
Left Montana, bound for Ritzville,
0 Man was it dry
Then along came katie
and Hazel would sigh
singing....This has been a wonderful life!!
